California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure
We respect the human rights of all workers in our product supply chains, and strive to ensure that they are treated fairly and with dignity. We strictly prohibit the use of any forced labor, slavery and/or human trafficking. We will not knowingly work with any company that violates this standard. This statement describes our efforts in that regard, in compliance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010.
1. Verification of Product Supply Chains to Guard Against Human Trafficking and Forced/Slave Labor
We request that our suppliers confirm compliance with our Best Practice Principles for Suppliers (the “Principles”), which states that suppliers:
- Must not use any form of illegal child labor or forced, bonded, indentured or involuntary labor.
- Must comply with the laws and regulations where they operate and to respect the International Labour Organization (IL) Conventions and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
- Must not use corporal punishment or any form of degrading treatment, harassment, abuse, coercion or intimidation. Must ensure that work hours per week and overtime work hours comply with local laws and regulations.
- Must comply with all applicable laws in the payment of wages and overtime pay and the provision of benefits.
2. Audits of Suppliers to Evaluate Compliance With Company Standards to Prevent Trafficking and Forced/Slave Labor in Supply Chains
We rely on our suppliers to hold themselves, their employees and the companies that they work with accountable for compliance with the Principles and the laws of the manufacturing countries.
3. Certification by Vendors that Materials Used in Their Products Comply With Laws Regarding Forced Labor/Slavery and Human Trafficking
Suppliers are responsible for providing the Principles to each of their contractors, subcontractors and raw materials suppliers and requiring that they abide by the standards and practices therein.
4. Internal Accountability Standards and Procedures to Ensure Compliance With Our Company Standards and Social Compliance Policy
In case of any suspected violations of human rights, including forced labor, we require relevant departments or personnel to immediately investigate and take appropriate corrective action, including possible reporting to authorities, while ensuring the safety of employees.
